The Shires and Spires team would like to thank everyone who contributed so much to making this such an enjoyable and successful event.

Wonderful weather, leafy country lanes and most importantly an enthusiastic group of cyclists made for a great day raising much needed funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

As part of its 80th Anniversary celebrations, the Coventry Road Club is organising a charity bike ride around the leafy lanes of the Midlands.

Organised by volunteers from the cycling club, all proceeds will go to the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity which has a Hospice in Solihull.

There are two circular routes to choose from - 30 miles or 45 miles designed to suit all cycling abilities.

There is no minimum sponsorship but we do ask you to try to raise as much as you can, as every penny will help to support people affected by cancer - if you have difficulty in raising sponsorship you can always make a donation instead.
